The fish are going to be along the main channel and sloughs. Concentrate on the points and isolated trees off the main tree lines.
Black brown amber or black blue pattern 7/16oz or 9/16oz. Southpaw Jig & pig combo, Texas rigged dark colored creature baits rigged with a 5/16 or 1/4oz Tungsten weight tied on Vicious 17lb fluorocarbon and a medium diving Citrus Shad or firetiger colored crankbaits on Vicious 12 to 15lb monofilament should be the baits of choice.
Tree lines in 8 to 12 feet of water normally produce in the early morning or colder weather. If a warming trend moves in, try the inside edge of the tree lines. Same baits should work other than adding a 3/8 oz white chartreuse spinnerbait for slow rolling around the trees.
Crappie are still on the brush tops in deep water but are starting to move in shallow. Jigs will be the best bet or maybe even try shiners.
Tight Lines, Russ
